Creston Valley Club 4949 has been in existence for over 20 years.
Our meetings begin sharp at 7 pm (Alex wouldn't have it any other way).
The first hour is led by the Chairman and is given over
to general business and information. This includes Table
Topics. Table Topics is an opportunity for impromptu speeches on a
variety of topics, limited only by the Table Topics Master's
imagination. The results can be hilarious and sets the mood for
the evening.
At our ten minute coffee break we visit, eat cookies (chocolate when we can get them) and do the final prep for the evening.
Our second hour is devoted to the speeches of the
evening hosted by the Toastmaster. The speakers are members who
have chosen to speak from one of the Toastmaster Manual, though
occassionally some brave soul chooses to speak impromtu.
Everything in Toastmasters is evaluated and every
evaluator is a volunteer member who is trained to be kind and gentle
according to the speaker's level of experience.
From Chariman to jokemaster to evaluator, everyone plays
a role at our meetings. This is your opportunity to learn how to
run a meeting and how to speak in a fun, non-threatening environment.
Come out and visit us our next meeting and well help to untie your tongue!!!
