How do I update my Club Information?

On the new District 21 site, having a mini-website for your own club is as simple as filling out an internet form.
If you know how to order a book online, or send an email, you can use the Club-Builder!

First thing's first:
LOGGING IN
In order to access the club-builder you need to be signed in to the District 21 website. To be able to do so, first you must have the name and password given to each club's Vice President of Public Relations (VPPR) when the District 21 site was launched.

If you are the VPPR and haven't received your login information, contact your Area or Division governor.

If you have forgotton your password, click the "Forgot Password?" link below the login area, and you can enter your email address where the system will send your password to you. You must enter the email address that has been registered for your club.

Once you have your name and password handy, you need to log into the site. In order to do so, find the "Name" and "P/W" area located at the lower left of each District 21 page. Type in your login info and click the "Go" button. If the information is correct, you will be taken to the "My District 21" page, where you will see the following options:
View my Club Homepage
View my Club's Agenda
View my Club's DCP Stats
View All District Stats

Edit my Club Homepage
Post/Edit my Club's Meeting Agenda
Change my Password
Change my Club's info at TMI World Headquarters

District Officers/Governors Contact Information
If you would like to edit your Club Website using the Club Builder Page, click on the option "Edit my Club Homepage". This will open the Club Builder Page in a new window.
PLEASE NOTE: If you are using a popup stopper program, you must disable it temporarily for the new window to open.

Due to limitations in Netscape and Mozilla browsers, all of the
editing functions will not work in these browsers. You must be using Internet Explorer 5 or higher in order to access the full potential of the Club Builder features.

Frames and Javascript must be enabled in your browser in order to access all of the features of the Club Builder.
Once the Club Builder page has opened, you will see a page with three sections:

THE UPPER FRAME

The upper section shows you a working model of what your "mini-site"
will look like as it is being built.

THE LOWER RIGHT FRAME
PLEASE NOTE: If you find you do not have enough room in the lower frame to work, you can click and drag the border between the Top and Bottom frames at any time in order to change the size of your workspace. This will not affect how your site will look when it is completed. The border between the Bottom two frames may also be moved likewise left to right.

This is where you will be entering or changing your Club's information. Any information entered here will be displayed in other parts of the District 21 site as well, and may affect how easily people can find your site in the Club area, so please ENSURE THAT YOUR INFORMATION IS ACCURATE. .
Uploading Pictures

There are a few spots where you can send your pictures to be displayed on the website. These are the Club Logo, and the Club Photo fields. In order to send your picture, click the "BROWSE" button beside these fields. This will open a dialog that will ask you where the picture is located. Select the folder where the picture is, and select the picture, then click the "OPEN" button. You will see your picture appear in the upper frame in the appropriate place.

PLEASE NOTE: Your picture must be in .GIF or .JPG format, and less than 100k in size so that it loads quickly.

If your picture is too large, you may have to resize it on your computer using a graphics application of your own choosing.

Rich Text Editor

The Rich Text Editor is a tool that allows you to edit your club's description with features similar to a Word Processing program or Email Editor. You can change your Font Size and Style using the "Paragraph Type" drop down list. You can also change the text Color, as well as paragraph formatting, bullets, indents, etc. Just hold your mouse pointer briefly over each button, and you will see a Description of what each button does.

You can also Copy segments of formatted text from your favorite editor (like Word, or Frontpage) and Paste it directly into the Rich Text editor, allowing for a highly customized and attractive description of your Club and its activities.

The CLEAR button will clear all text and formatting from the Rich Text Box.
The REFRESH button will show your changes in the Upper Frame

Please go through all the fields and enter your information as completely as possible, as this increases your chances of people finding Your Club when they are searching for a new Toastmasters Club to join.

THE LOWER LEFT FRAME

You will see a bar of colors in this section. This color bar allows you to change the color scheme of your site, by clicking on each of the colors. The Black and White bars on the Rightmost side of the color bar adjust the outline of the sections on the site. It's best to enter your information first before changing colors, as this will enable you to see the whole site in the colors before making your decision.

Here you will also see three buttons: REFRESH, PREVIEW, and SAVE
REFRESH - will refresh the display in the Upper Frame with any changes you have made.
PREVIEW - will open a separate window so you can view your new site in a full screen browser.
SAVE - will save your changes to the site and prompt you to Exit or Continue Editing

POST/EDIT MY CLUB'S MEETING AGENDA

You can also Post a current agenda for your club meeting which will be accessible to all of your members through your Club Homepage on the District 21 website. Once you have logged into the site, click on "Post/Edit my Club's Meeting Agenda" and you will be taken to the Agenda Editor page.

To learn how to use the Agenda Editor page, see the Rich Text Editor instructions above.

Make sure and tell your club: Your Club Members can "shortcut" to your club site by signing into the District 21 site using your Club number as the "name" with No password.

That's all there is to it! Have fun creating!
We all look forward to seeing your site online soon!
